2024 MEN’S LEAGUE
WHEN: Men’s League tournament play will start Thursday, March 28th and end on September 12th (Weather Permitting). Tee times can be booked for any time of day on league days, following the pro shop’s booking rules. The pro shop will block out tee times from public play beginning at 3:00 pm on league days. You may still play at any time of day. All players must play with another league player for scores to count.
COST:
- $20 One-time registration fee for prior-year participants. $50 One-time registration fee for new league participants. Pays for League Championship Prizes (shop merchandise credit, trophies, signage, etc.).
2. $30 Weekly Fees, paid in the pro shop. Please do your best to bring exact change (i.e. reduce the $50’s and $100’s if at all possible).
a. $10 goes to End-of-Year Point System for final cash payout after League Championships. Best of 75% of total number of events count (i.e. 24 events; then 18 events count, worst 6 points or missed events dropped). Two-day League Championship counts as double points: 72 points each day.
b. $10 goes to Weekly Gross/Net Cash game. Full payout each week (cash).
- • $5 Gross – 2 players paid per tee box
• $5 Net – 6 players paid from all tee boxes
c. $10 goes to skins pool. Full payout each week (cash).
• $5 Gross - paid per tee box
• $5 Net - paid out of one pot – non-flighted
3. Participants MUST have a valid USGA Handicap. To maintain your USGA Handicap at Gypsum Creek Golf Course would be a one-time seasonal fee of $45. You may also be eligible to participate if your GHIN is active at another course.
WHAT: This is a 9-hole stroke play event each week. You need not play in all events, however, your points do accumulate so the more times you can play, the better. You must play in a minimum of 6 league events to be eligible for the League Championship. League Championship is $60 this year and open to anyone has played in a minimum of 6 Men’s League events.
TEE’S & TEE TIMES: Men’s League can be played at any time each Thursday. Players with a Handicap Index (H.I.) of 7.9 and below play from the Black tees. Handicaps 8.0 – 17.9 play from the Brown tees. Handicaps 18.0+ play from the Gold tees. Players 65 years or older may also play from the Gold tees if desired.
Higher handicaps may always decide to play from a further tee, but never from a closer tee. Each Tuesday of league week is “Tee Box Tuesday” and if you choose to play from a tee other than required by your handicap, you must notify Stephen Baxter or Cory Nolan by close of business on “Tee Box Tuesday.” Players need to confirm their own tee times and may only appear one time on the tee sheet on Men’s League days. Daylight and cart restrictions always apply. The golf shop will block tee times for men’s league from 3pm-6pm on league day afternoons, however, any un-booked blocked times at close of day on each Wednesday prior to Men’s League Thursday will be opened to public play.
Tee times can be made from the Gypsum Creek app or Call 970-524-6200 ext. 1 to book during the 3:00-Close blocked times.
- •Front and Back 9 starts will alternate each week unless otherwise deemed necessary by Golf course administration.
• Tee times made are for the designated tee for that men’s league (i.e. front 9 or back 9).
• All “warming up” needs to be at the practice range unless prior arrangements are made with the golf course personnel.
• Men’s League play is from the designated tees based on handicap from above unless declared with Stephen Baxter or Cory Nolan by “Tee Box Tuesday” for the current week.
• Post your own 9-hole League score, league administrator will not post it for you.
• In case of inclement weather, if 50% or more of those with Confirmed tee times for that day, submit a completed scorecard, the event will count for points.
• League Championship will be based on 18 hole scores each day (two day tournament play) toward end of season Men’s League points payout.
GREEN FEES:Standard daily green fees apply. We offer a 10-punch seasonal card for $640. We put it into our system as (20) 9-hole increments ($32/nine-hole play). Range balls can be purchased in 30; 60 or 90 ball increments for warm up. It includes your ½ of the cart and during our twilight play, we only use one punch regardless of the number of holes up to 18 that you’re able to get in prior to course/cart closing. It’s transferrable and can be used for yourself, friends, family members or colleagues within your immediate foursome. Expires at the end of the season. Use it or lose it.
PACE OF PLAY: Men’s league is a great opportunity to assist our starters, rangers, and staff with the course pace of play. Please show them respect if asked to pick up the pace. CGA re-rated our course recently and part of that was to set the pace-of-play for our course. Gypsum Creek Golf course’s pace-of-play is set at 4:10 for 18 holes of golf. For the front 9 play should take no more than 2:03. For back 9 play it should take no more than 2:07. As usual and regardless of whether you are on pace or not, if there is a hole in front of you and a faster group behind you, please let them play through.
RULES & ETIQUETTE: USGA Rules apply unless the league committee informs all players and golf shop of additional local rules. We suggest that you all download the USGA rules of golf app. Always feel free to ask your mates before you take your next shot! Respect the rules, respect your comrades and respect the golf course and it will be a great day!
OTHER: All score cards must be legible, include printed players names (first initial, full last name, tee box played) totals, signed, and dated. All players must complete the electronic scorecard available in the Gypsum Creek Golf app the day of league play. A Banner will populate morning of on the App - click on it and enter your scores for each hole - we pull this data for our weekly payout.
2024 LADIES LEAGUE
WHEN: Ladies League tournament play will start Wednesday, April 24th and end on August 14th. Tee times can be booked for any time on league days. All players must play with another golfer who will sign and verify their score.
COST: All fees must be in cash.
• $15 One-time registration fee (goes toward League/Club Championships,
food, proxies, trophies, etc.. Additional entry fee applies).
• $10 Weekly Fee.
a. $5 Payout for N/G game for shop credit (1 Gross, 1,2,3 Net).
b. $5 Cash payout for N/G skins..

Ladies League/Club Championships are $75 this year and open to any female who is a season passholder at Gypsum Creek Golf Course, has her GHIN at Gypsum Creek Golf Course, or has played in a minimum of 4 Gypsum Creek Golf Course Ladies League events.
Tee times can be made from the Gypsum Creek app or Call 970-524-6200 ext. 1.

FLIGHTS: Ladies League will be two flights if there are 16 or more players. Under 16 players will be one flight.

LadiesLeague/CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS: Gypsum Creek Golf Course Club Championships will be held on August 17th and 18th, 2024.
