2025 MEN’S LEAGUE
WHEN: Gypsum Creek Men’s League play will start Thursday, March 27th and end on August 28th. Tee times can be booked for any time of day on league days. The pro shop will block out tee times from public play beginning at 3:00 pm on league days. All players must play with another league player for scores to count.
COST:
- $40 One-time registration fee for prior-year participants. $70 One-time registration fee for new league participants. Pays for League championship prizes, trophies, parking spot signs, food/bevies, admin expenses, etc..
2. $30 Weekly Fees, paid in the pro shop. Please do your best to bring exact change (i.e. reduce the $50’s and $100’s if possible).
a. $10 to End-of-Year (EOY) point system for final cash payout after our League Championship event. Best of 75% of total number of events count (i.e. 23 events; then 17 events count, worst 6 events/missed events dropped). Two-day League/Club Championship counts as double points: 72 points each day, September 6th and 7th .
b. $10 to ‘Gross / Net’ cash game - full payout each week.
- • $5 Gross – 2 players paid per tee box.
• $5 Net – 2 players paid per tee box.
c. $10 to Skins pool - full payout each week.
• $5 Gross – 2 players paid per tee box.
• $5 Net – 2 players paid per tee box.
3. Participants MUST have a valid USGA Handicap. To maintain your USGA Handicap at Gypsum Creek Golf Course would be a one-time seasonal fee of $50. You may also be eligible to participate if your GHIN is active at another course.
WHAT: This is a 9-hole stroke play event each week. You need not play in all events; however, your points accumulate so the more times you can play, the better. You must play in a minimum of 6 league events to be eligible for the League / Club Championship.
TEE’S & TEE TIMES: Men’s League can be played from sunup to sundown every Thursday.
Players with a Handicap Index (H.I.) of 8.9 and below play from the Black tees. Handicaps 9.0 – 17.9 play from the Brown tees. Handicaps 18.0+ play from the Gold tees. Players 65+ years ‘may elect’ to play from the Gold tees. Higher handicaps may always decide to play from a further tee back, but never from a closer tee.
Each Tuesday of league week an email will be sent out where it is imperative you select either Playing or Not Playing as this then allows the software to place your name on the electronic scorecard which we use as the Official Scorecard. If on Tuesday week of you elect to play from a further back Tee then you must communicate that with Stephen Baxter or Cory Nolan by close of business on Tuesday.
The golf shop will block tee times for men’s league from 3pm-6pm on league days, however, any available blocked times at close of business Wednesday prior will be opened to public play.
Tee times can be made from the Gypsum Creek app or Call 970-524-6200 ext 1 to book during the 3:00-Close blocked times.
- • Front and Back 9 starts will alternate each week.
• Men’s League play is from the designated tees based on your hdcp unless declared with Stephen Baxter or Cory Nolan.
• League administrator will post your 9-hole score to the USGA GHIN app so no need for you to do it unless you play 18 that day at which time you will need to post the other 9-hole score on the USGA GHIN app.
• In case of inclement weather, if 50% or more with ‘Confirmed’ tee times for that Thursday submit a completed scorecard, AKA they suffered through the winds/rain then the event will count for cash/points.
• League / Club Championship will be based on 18-hole scores each day toward EOY season points.
GREEN FEES: Standard daily green fees apply. Pro Shop offers a 10-punch seasonal card for $680. They put it into their system as (20) 9-hole increments ($34/nine-hole play). Range balls can be purchased in 30; 60 or 90 ball increments for warm up. It includes your ½ of the cart and during our twilight play, we only use one punch regardless of the number of holes up to 18 that you’re able to get in prior to course closing. Punch passes are NOT transferrable, however, may be shared with one other if declared at time of purchase.
PACE OF PLAY: Men’s league is a great opportunity to assist our starters, rangers, and staff with the course pace of play. Gypsum Creek pace-of-play is set at 4:10 for 18 holes of golf. Front 9 - no more than 2:03. Back 9 - no more than 2:07. As usual, if there is a hole in front of you and a faster group behind you, please let them play through.
RULES & ETIQUETTE: USGA Rules apply unless the League Committee informs all players and golf shop of additional local rules. Always feel free to ask your mates before you take your next shot. Respect the rules, respect your comrades and respect the golf course and it will be a great day!
OTHER: The Golf Genius app will be your official scorecard this season. Please ask a veteran for assistance if you’re not familiar with how to keep your score. You must always confirm your scores with the players in your group before submitting. All written score cards are backup in case of a discrepancy. They must be legible, include printed players names (first initial, full last name, tee box played) totals, signed, and dated and dropped in the box next to the Pro Shop inside the restaurant.

2025 LADIES LEAGUE
WHEN: Ladies League tournament play will start Wednesday, April 23rd and end on August 27th. Tee times can be booked for any time on league days. All players must play with another golfer who will sign and verify their score.
COST: All fees must be in cash.
• $15 One-time registration fee (goes toward League/Club Championships.
• $10 Weekly Fee.
a. $5 Payout for N/G game for shop credit (1 Gross, 1,2,3 Net).
b. $4 Cash payout for N/G skins.
c. $1 Toward end of season cash payout.

WHAT: This is a 9-hole stroke play event each week. You must play in a minimum of 4 Ladies League events to be eligible for Ladies League/Club Championships combined event. Ladies League/Club Championships are TBA this year.

- • Front and Back 9 starts will alternate each week unless otherwise deemed necessary by Golf course administration.
• Tee times made are for the designated tee for that week’s ladies league (i.e. front 9 or back 9).
• All “warming up” needs to be at the practice range unless prior arrangements are made with the golf course personnel.
• Ladies league tees are the forward green tees.
• We will post your 9 hole league score. If you play all 18, please post your own 2nd nine.
• In case of inclement weather, if a minimum of 50% of booked players finish, the event will count.
FLIGHTS: Ladies League will be two flights if there are 16 or more players. Under 16 players will be one flight.

Punch passes expire at the end of the season. Use it or lose it.
PACE OF PLAY: Ladies league is a great opportunity to assist our starters, rangers, and staff with the course pace of play. Please show them respect if asked to pick up the pace. CGA re-rated our course recently and part of that was to set the pace-of-play for our course. Gypsum Creek Golf course’s pace-of-play is set at 4:10 for 18 holes of golf. For the front 9 play should take no more than 2hours and 3minutes. For back 9 play it should take no more than 2hours and 7 minutes. As usual and regardless of whether you are on pace or not, if there is a hole in front of you and a faster group behind you, please let them play through.

OTHER INFORMATION and SCORING: All players must complete the electronic scorecard available in the Gypsum Creek Golf app the day of league play. A Banner will populate morning of on the App - click on it and enter your scores for each hole – after you and your playing partners have verified the score, press “confirm”. we pull this data for our weekly payout.
All “backup” score cards must be legible, include printed players names (first initial, full last name, tee box played) totals, signed, and dated and placed in the drop box next to the golf shop. If you decide it’s a bad day and you drop out, PLEASE note that on your card.
LadiesLeague/CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS: Gypsum Creek Golf Course Club Championships will be held on September 6th and 7th, 2025.
